This group will give you a new perspective on shyness and social anxiety by helping you open up to difficult thoughts and feelings while doing what really matters to you. Developed by Dr. Jan Fleming and Dr. Nancy Kocovski, researchers and authors of The Mindfulness & Acceptance Workbook for Social Anxiety & Shyness, this evidence-based program combines Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) with treatment components drawn from Mindfulness- Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR). You will receive a workbook and have the opportunity to practice new skills during the group and between meetings.
