Some of the most common struggles for adults with ADHD relate to time management, organization, and planning. This 12-week evidence-based program developed by Dr. Mary Solanto uses cognitive-behavioural interventions to target these areas of executive functioning. This group is appropriate for individuals either on or off stimulant medication, and may be a beneficial treatment for those who have not been responsive to stimulant medication for ADHD in the past. A prior formal diagnosis of ADHD is required.

You will receive a workbook and have the opportunity to practice new skills during the group and between meetings.

This 8 week course offers support for independent adventuring into mindfulness practice for those who have completed an introductory level course in meditation such as MBSR, MBCT, MSC, or one retreat. This 8 week series will explore the insight meditation teachings and practices underlying most of the 8 week secular mindfulness based interventions so familiar in the modern marketplace.  This course is ideal for those who wish to continue to develop and deepen a daily meditation practice and further their understanding of the profound commitment to freedom, joy and liberation from suffering in the traditions underpinning most secular mindfulness interventions. Following this course graduates will be eligible to apply for a two year Mindfulness Guide training program led by an IMTA certified professional mindfulness teacher through Wild Blue Mindfulness.

Awakening a Heart of Compassion: Mindful Self Compassion Silent Retreat

October 28, 2018 to November 2, 2018

Held at the beautiful renovated Monastere des Augustines in Vieux Quebec on the banks of the St Lawrence, this retreat will be conducted in English, and meets the requirements of teacher training for MSC, MBSR and MBCT teachers. Continuing Professional Education credits may be available.This retreat will support a soaking and deepening in the Mindful Self Compassion core practices including but not limited to: affectionate breathing, compassionate body scan, compassionate movement, lovingkindness for self and other, compassion for self and other, compassion with difficult emotions, compassion with shame, compassion and equanimity with caregiver stress, living from the vows of the heart, self-appreciation, gratitude, and cultivating joy. Each day of the retreat will include three vegetarian meals, one hour of optional mindful movement as embodied mindful self compassion practice, daily dharma talks, and opportunities for mindful dialogue and inquiry. We will also offer weekly small group support sessions.

Mindfulness Skills for Athletes: The Four Pillars of mPEAK

WHAT DOES THE mPEAK Training Weekend INVOLVE? The mPEAK program was developed by Dr. Amy Salzman MD and Peter Kirchmer a mindfulness expert specifically for athletes and high performers. While the curriculum can be tailored for specific settings, teams and organizations, the basic mPEAK program is formulated as a 3-day intensive followed by 6 weeks of virtual integration sessions to deepen the participants mindfulness practice and integrate the four pillars of mPEAK into daily routines in the workplace, the training environment or in competition. All sessions provide a forum for dialogue, questions and comments.
