ONLINE Inner Resiliency Training for Frontline Healthcare

Inner Resiliency Training for Frontline Healthcare is an Adaptation of the well researched Mindful Self-Compassion curriculum originally developed by Drs. Kristin Neff of University of Texas at Austin and Christopher Germer, clinical faculty at Harvard, co-founders of the Center for Mindful Self Compassion affiliated with University of California – San Diego.

This abbreviated version of Mindful Self Compassion training is specifically designed to address the unique time constraints, workplace culture, and acute stressors on frontline healthcare workers in the time of COVID-19. Although Inner Resiliency Training is therapeutic, it is not a replacement for psychotherapy.

This course in Inner Resiliency During COVID: Mindful Self Compassion for Frontline Healthcare is guided by Dr. Kimberly Sogge C.Psych. Registered Clinical Health Psychologist, founder of the Ottawa River Psychology Group, and clinician with over 30 years experience in mental health and healthcare. Dr. Sogge is former Chief of Professional Practice at the Royal Ottawa Healthcare Group, and has worked in community and pediatric hospitals, community healthcare clinics, and did her doctoral residency in the Behavioral Medicine track at the University of Texas at Austin Student Health Center in Austin, Texas. Dr. Sogge has worked in post graduate medical education as a researcher and educator, and as a psychologist has a specialty working with physicians from medical students to senior faculty leaders on issues unique to medicine and the stresses on healthcare providers. (Co-facilitator TBA)
