In this webinar Gregory will discuss his personal and professional experiences of applying Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to clinicians’ anxiety about providing therapy. The talk will include a conceptualization of therapist anxiety within the ACT framework, answering the question when and how does anxiety become a “problem”? Gregory will discuss how ACT invites therapists to stop wrestling with anxiety by shifting their relationship to it. The talk will end with an experiential ACT practice for therapy related anxiety.
About our speaker:
Gregory is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) at Ottawa River Psychology Group. Gregory received his M.Ed. in Counseling Psychology at University of Toronto and has further training in third wave modalities. Gregory particularly enjoys supporting front-line mental health workers in clinical work and peer supervision.
